When I was seven, my dad thought it was a good idea to move me to Tijuana Mexico. He ended up marrying a woman from there with seven kids of her own, and we became the mexican Brady Bunch.  One of the perks of having such a huge family was the older siblings introduced me to a lot of great music. At seven I was obcessed with bands like The Cure, Depeche Mode, The Smiths and New Order. However, since we were in Mexico, we listened to a lot of Spanish Rock. One of my all time favorite bands was, and still is, Caifanes. For me they were like the Beatles. I still remember staying up late to see their videos. One of my favorites from them is Viento. I didn’t get to photograph the band at Coachella this year, but I did manage to end up on the side of the stage and meet them. If I could tell little Joseph he would someday end up on stage with Caifanes, I think I would have died. Check this amazing Rock en Español band out here.
