I got the opportunity to work with Bush this summer. Its been great getting to know the guys. I got to cover them rehearsing, playing a set at Kimmel and shooting promo images for them. So far the images have been seen on HDNet, Billboard and the cover of Miami Living. The new album is as good if not better then anything they have previously released. Check it out here.
Pumped Up Kicks has been stuck in my head for sometime now. I love how Foster The People’s tunes are so catchy. I keep changing my mind on what song on the album I like most. As of 9.21.11 at 1pm it is Broken Jaw.
I got to spend a week photographing the guys during the release week of Torches, their debut album. Getting to follow them around at Jimmy Kimmel, Amoeba in store and the music video for Helena Beat. Check out the below photo essay.
I recently shot a look book for a local denim company called Boom Boom Jeans. I love the challenge of working in fields that I usually don’t get to work in. The shoot was pretty straight forward apparel images needed for their catalog. A few of these I really liked, so I wanted to share a few.
By far, the most important thing about this job was working with my retoucher Ryan Cleary. Please check out his work here.
David Cook was my 4th American Idol I have shot in the last year. He was really pleasant to work with and was great about letting us crash his studio. A funny thing he told me was that photographers can pull off wearing denim shirts, I need to remember to send him one. Check out his interview done by the incredible Joelson’s here.
